Like us – you must be fed-up with the everlasting winter (at least if you live in NYC but I’ve heard Paris is not much better) and the Jon Snow’s furry look (yes, I’m referring to Game Of thrones without shame to prove my point) … Nevertheless, let’s think positive, long for the better days headed of us and finally make the switch from Winter to Spring wardrobe!
We’d love to share with you our tips to smooth your way into spring – so that you don’t wander too long in the fashion limbo. Trust me I’ve been in your shoes – standing in front of my closet (and looking at it as if it was a stranger to me) – asking myself (for at least 20 minutes) the horrible question “what should I wear today” (obviously in that situation, if you are like me – you will be late to work). So let’s arrive on time tomorrow (or at least try for real)!
Over the next few days & weeks (depending on the crazy weather), we will share with you our looks to help you transition your wardrobe from winter to spring. To give you a sneak-pick of what’s coming: “Take advantage of the timeless Blazer”, “Trench it up”, “Perfect the perfecto”, “Denim More” – or some “Mix and Match” (over-the-knee boots with a flirty spring dress or a chunky knit sweater with a soft chiffon maxi skirt) …
For the first looks – we wanted to share a classic we all have in our closet – the timeless Blazer.
Amel is wearing a beautiful vintage Ralph Lauren Navy wool blazer with a blazon embroidery – Ralph Lauren’s signature “RLC” and sitting stag crest at the left pocket. Timeless and sophisticated, Ralph Lauren Collection reflects the designer’s philosophy through a fusion of feminine glamour and impeccable tailoring – a style legend which has redefined American fashion. She paired this schoolgirl-chic blazer with a simple white V-neck T-shirt from Boohoo and J Brand Sadey slim-leg jeans – one of the most versatile pairs you’d want to own – true blue denim with minimal detailing which goes with (practically) everything. Amel is wearing the Superga’s Classic Cotu sneakers which have been featured already on countless style blogs – for an effortless look.
As for me – I’m wearing a double-breasted wool-blend jacket from Sandro. The styling options are endless for a blazer like Sandro’s ‘Lauryn’ version – all you need to do is to switch out what’s underneath to suit different occasions. I paired mine with ‘Caryota’ blouse with tie from Maje and Sandro ‘Gregor’ jeans. I absolutely love the details of these faded black jeans – the visible zip fastening, two engraved buttons and the stitching in the middle of the leg. Did-you know that Maje and Sandro brands were founded by two sisters? These labels – which are my absolute favorites – innately reflect effortlessly chic French style.
Hope you enjoy the looks – if you do please comment and like!
