In our first “Suit Up” episode I told you about my awesome passion for suits! Every occasion is for me good enough to wear a suit. On a casual Sunday brunch with trainers and sweats; for a romantic Thursday dinner party with high heels and skin revealing lingerie top; on a Saturday afternoon shopping with glittered loafers and a youthful colored blouse.
I could go on … But I’d rather dive into this second weekly rendez-vous in which I chose to share with you one of my favorite suit-up style and designer of this Spring ’18 collection.
I’m wearing a glamourous piece from Sara Battaglia which definitely proves that checked suiting is a trend that transcends decades. The Italian label Spring ’18 collection is inspired by the way women dressed in the ’50s, particularly how put-together they always looked.
The double-breasted blazer is tailored from gingham cotton-blend with white trims and power shoulders. I paired mine with the matching pants. Made from soft cotton-blend, this slim-leg pair is embellished with buttons that are strategically placed to draw the eye to your waist (it looks great with the matching blazer, but a tonal top or sweater works just as well).
I paired this beautiful suit with the GANNI Sabine leather slingback pumps inspired by ’90s glamour. “I’m nostalgic for the days when air travel was still chic, when people dressed up to get on a plane and had cocktails,” says Ditte Reffstrup Creative Director of the brand. Don’t you love this retro-style pair?
Finally off to work – I grabbed the iconic Furla Club. I love this timeless design, perfect to carry around your essentials from day to night (well, let’s be honest – only if you are a light packer).
Hope you enjoy the look – if you do please comment and like!
& rendez-vous next week for Suit up #3 (and look awesome)
