Suit Up & Look Awesome In The Kooples.

I could say “suit-up! Because tonight will be legendary …” but I’m no Barney Stinson (well – we just have in common this awesome passion for suits). I love them.  I wear them everywhere … at work – obviously – but not only. Every occasion is for me good enough to wear a suit. On a casual Sunday brunch with trainers and sweats; for a romantic Thursday dinner party with high heels and skin revealing lingerie top; on a Saturday afternoon shopping with glittered loafers and a youthful colored blouse.

I could go on … But I’d rather rendez-vous on a weekly basis and show you my suit-up styles!

For this first look – I chose to share with you an everyday office style.

I’m wearing a Brindisi wool-blend felt cape from Totême. This beautiful midnight-blue cape has a loose, oversized cut, perfect not to ruffle up a freshly steamed shirt on the way to the office. It’s also great for the chilly mornings we still endure. The cape is a perfect alternative to a spring jacket. I love the Hern cashmere cape from The Row which feels so comfortable and surprisingly light. I accessorized with a vintage black belt from Elisabetta Franchi crafted from black leather and punctuated with a gold buckle.

The navy blue suit from The Kooples is a great feminine classic, dressing all silhouettes in the blink of an eye. This tailored style, decorated with a leather neckline for a delicate rock ‘n’ roll touch, displays a perfect and elegant cut.

The tops from Cami NYC are one of my favorite layering essentials. Samantha Steen actually founded Cami NYC after failing to find the perfect camisole. If you are experiencing the same issue, don’t search any longer – here it is. This black silk-charmeuse design is washed for an exceptionally soft handle and subtle luster. I also love to let the wispy lace trims peek out along the neckline.

I paired this timeless suit piece with Oscar Tiye velvet sock boots for a “sprinkling of glitter”. Oscar Tiye designer Amina Muaddi quotes Leonardo Da Vinci when describing the streamlined construction of these ‘Giorgia’ boots, saying “simplicity is the ultimate sophistication”. Of course, a sprinkling of glitter never did any harm either!

I simply grabbed the Brooklyn Carryall bag from Coach for a distinctly New York attitude (also because it is large enough to hold a 13-inch laptop) – and ran off to work!

Well – let’s not exaggerate – I just walked 🙂

Hope you enjoy the look – if you do please comment and like!

& rendez-vous next week for Suit up #2 (and look awesome)
